Cooper Co., MO – Injury Crash on I-70 WB at MM 111

Cooper County, MO (August 25, 2025) – A vehicle collision occurred on Friday, August 22, at approximately 3:30 p.m. on westbound Interstate 70 near the 111-mile marker. The crash involved two vehicles and resulted in at least one injury.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident began when the driver of a 2009 Acura MDX, a 22-year-old female from Columbia, MO, swerved to avoid another vehicle coming from the median. This maneuver caused the Acura to strike a 2019 Toyota Camry, driven by an 18-year-old female from California, MO. The impact caused the Camry to overturn and come to rest on its wheels.

The driver of the Camry, who was wearing a safety device, sustained minor injuries. She was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for further evaluation. Fortunately, the driver of the Acura did not report any injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Nash Towing – Boonville.
