Saline County, MO (August 23, 2025) – On August 21, a severe two-vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 70 left one man hospitalized with major injuries. The collision occurred around 9:18 p.m. near mile marker 86.6 and was investigated by Trooper J. W. Hunter of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, with assistance from additional officers and the Saline County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the official report, a 2023 Dodge Challenger, driven by a 43-year-old woman from Warsaw, rear-ended a 2017 Nissan Titan traveling in the same lane. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage. The Titan was totaled and towed by Don’s Towing, while the Challenger also suffered significant damage and was removed by National Towing.
A 58-year-old male passenger in the Titan, from Parkville, was seriously injured and transported by Cooper County EMS to the University of Missouri Hospital for further treatment. Authorities confirmed that both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
