St. Charles, MO – Injury Crash on I-70 W Near MO-79

St. Charles, MO (October 2, 2025) – A traffic accident with injuries occurred on Monday, September 29, at approximately 12:31 p.m. CDT on westbound Interstate 70 just east of Missouri Route 79 in St. Charles County. The crash involved a 2002 Dodge Ram and a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. The Chevrolet Silverado was unable to stop and struck the rear of the Dodge Ram, which was stopped in lane one.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 41-year-old woman from Imperial, MO, sustained minor injuries and was transported by St. Charles County ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis. The driver of the Silverado, an 18-year-old man from Wentzville, MO, was not injured. Emergency responders, including St. Peter’s Police Department, assisted at the scene.
