Boone County, MO (July 11, 2025) – A woman from Fulton sustained serious injuries in a crash on Friday afternoon, July 11, on eastbound Interstate 70 near the Boone-Callaway County line, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The collision involved a 2011 Toyota 4Runner and a 2014 Freightliner M2, both traveling eastbound near a construction zone at the time of the incident. The vehicles collided, and the Toyota became wedged between a concrete barrier and the semi-truck.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the woman driving the Toyota was transported by ambulance to University Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Freightliner was not hurt.
Authorities reported that the Toyota was totaled, and the Freightliner sustained moderate damage. The crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
