Indianapolis, IN – Two Hurt in Accident on I-70 near MM 58

Indianapolis, IN (July 19, 2025) — A serious collision with reported entrapment brought emergency crews to the scene on Thursday, July 17, along eastbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 58, where two individuals sustained injuries and required immediate medical attention.

Initial reports indicate the crash, though occurring in the eastbound lanes, involved vehicles traveling from or associated with the westbound side of the interstate—an unusual and dangerous circumstance that may have played a key role in the severity of the incident. Responders from Indianapolis Fire and Rescue quickly arrived and initiated extrication efforts to free those trapped in the damaged vehicles.
