Jackson County, MO (August 25, 2025) – A collision occurred on Friday, August 22, at approximately 4:25 p.m. on westbound I-70 near mile marker 21. The crash involved two vehicles and resulted in at least one injury.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident began when a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a 61-year-old male from Bates City, MO, came to a stop in congested traffic. The driver of a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado, a 36-year-old male from Oak Grove, MO, was distracted and unable to stop in time, colliding with the Blazer.

The driver of the Chevrolet Blazer, who was wearing a safety device, sustained minor injuries. He was transported by Central Jackson County Fire Protection to North Kansas City Hospital for further evaluation. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Elite Towing and Jackson County Tow.
