Mesa Co., CO – Five Hospitalized in Collision on I-70 near MM 5

Mesa County, CO (July 12, 2025) — A rollover crash involving a pickup truck sent five people to the hospital Thursday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 5 in western Colorado.

The accident occurred on July 10, around 2:00 p.m., when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned, according to the Colorado State Patrol. Emergency responders arrived quickly, providing medical assistance and transporting all five occupants to nearby hospitals for further care. The severity of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.

By 4:00 p.m., CSP reported that cleanup efforts were nearly complete and traffic flow through the area had returned to normal. Investigators are still working to determine what led to the crash, with possible factors like speed, driver distraction, or mechanical issues under review.
