St. Louis, MO (October 7, 2025) – Two people were injured Sunday afternoon, October 5, in a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 70 westbound just west of I-270 in St. Louis County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. when a 2018 Acura ILX, driven by a 23-year-old woman from St. Louis, failed to notice traffic slowing ahead and was following too closely. The Acura struck the rear of a 2022 GMC Terrain, driven by a 31-year-old man from St. Louis, pushing it into a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado driven by a 30-year-old man from Fenton.

The driver of the Acura and her passenger, both 23-year-old women, sustained minor injuries. They were transported by the Pattonville Fire Protection District to SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis for treatment. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not hurt.

Both the Acura and the GMC sustained total damage and were towed from the scene, while the Chevrolet was driven away.

Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Our thoughts are with the injured women, and we wish them a full recovery. The investigation remains ongoing.
