St. Louis, MO – Accident causes Injury on I-70 at New Florissant Rd
St. Louis, MO (February 5, 2026) – A young woman was hurt in a crash involving a passenger car and a semi-truck on westbound Interstate 70 Tuesday evening in St. Louis. The collision was reported around 7:00 p.m. near the New Florissant Road area.
Missouri State Highway Patrol records show a 2010 Toyota Corolla and a 2024 Freightliner Cascadia were both traveling west on I-70 at the time of the crash. Troopers said the driver of the Toyota lost control while traveling along the interstate.
After control was lost, the rear left side of the Toyota struck the front right side of the semi-truck. The impact caused the Toyota to spin in the roadway. As the vehicles moved, the front of the Freightliner then struck the driver’s side of the Toyota.
Emergency crews arrived and began assisting those hurt. The driver of the Toyota, a 21-year-old woman from Florissant, suffered minor injuries. Paramedics with the Northeast Fire Protection District treated her at the scene before taking her to Barnes-Jewish Hospital for further medical care. Reports noted she was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
The driver of the semi-truck, a 35-year-old man from Gainesville, Missouri, was not reported injured. Damage to the truck was described as minor. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by a local towing service.
Firefighters and troopers worked to secure the area while medical crews assisted the injured driver. Motorists passing through the area may have noticed emergency vehicles along the westbound lanes as responders completed their work.
Information and specific details on this crash remain limited at this time. More information may be released as police investigation progresses.
