St. Louis, MO – Crash Closes All Eastbound Lanes of I-70 Near Memorial Dr
St. Louis, MO (November 4, 2025) – A crash in downtown St. Louis led to the closure of all eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Memorial Drive on Tuesday morning.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the collision occurred around 8:45 a.m., prompting officials to advise drivers to avoid the area. Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) officials reported that it could take up to three hours to clear the wreckage and reopen the lanes.
Traffic cameras in the area showed first responders working under the bridge just north of the Gateway Arch, where several emergency vehicles were positioned along the roadway. The full extent of injuries and the number of cars involved have not yet been released.
Drivers were urged to use alternate routes while crews cleared the scene and continued their investigation.
