Topeka, KS – Man injured in an Accident on I-70 near Stubbs Rd

Topeka, KS (February 5, 2026) – A man was injured and taken to a local hospital after being struck by a passing vehicle while trying to move a disabled car from Interstate 70 late Tuesday night. The injury was reported around 10:45 p.m. on westbound I-70 just west of Stubbs Road in eastern Shawnee County.

The injured person was identified as a 50-year-old Topeka resident. Paramedics arrived and transported him to Stormont Vail Hospital with suspected minor injuries. The driver of the Ford, a 19-year-old woman from Tonganoxie, was reported to have a possible injury. There was no record showing she was taken to a hospital.
