Jackson County, MO – Woman Injured in Rear-End Crash on I-70 E Near MM 26

Jackson County, MO (September 25, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision left one woman injured on Tuesday afternoon, September 23, on I-70 East near mile marker 26.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:40 p.m. when a 2024 Nissan Frontier struck the rear of a 2007 Chevrolet Impala that had slowed to a stop for traffic. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene by Elite Tow.

The driver of the Impala, a 38-year-old woman from Blue Springs, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. She sustained minor injuries and was transported by CJC Fire crews to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment. The Frontier’s driver, a 28-year-old man from Fort Liberty, NC, was not injured.

We hope the injured woman recovers quickly from this crash. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
