Rear-End Collisions on I-70 in St. Louis
I-70 is one of the most heavily traveled highways in Missouri, and stretches through St. Louis County, which is particularly prone to congestion. When traffic slows suddenly, rear-end collisions are a frequent occurrence. Even at reduced speeds, these crashes can cause significant injuries and extensive vehicle damage.
Rear-end accidents commonly result in whiplash, back injuries, and head trauma. Victims may require emergency treatment, diagnostic imaging, and follow-up care such as physical therapy. Beyond medical issues, victims often face financial hardships from lost wages and mounting bills.
Missouri law allows individuals injured in car accidents caused by another driver’s negligence to pursue compensation. This may include coverage for medical expenses, rehabilitation, lost income, pain and suffering, and property damage. However, even cases that seem straightforward can become complicated when insurance companies dispute fault or attempt to minimize payouts.
Having legal guidance can help injured victims navigate the claims process with confidence and clarity. An attorney can review crash reports, gather supporting evidence, and negotiate with insurers to seek fair compensation.
