St. Louis, MO – 2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-70 EB Near Bermuda Rd

St. Louis, MO (August 29, 2025) – Two women were hospitalized following a four-vehicle crash on Tuesday evening, August 26, on Interstate 70 eastbound in St. Louis County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 5:39 p.m. east of Bermuda Rd. Traffic had slowed on the interstate when a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 19-year-old man from East St. Louis, struck the rear of a 2025 Chevrolet Trax. The impact pushed the Trax into a 2016 Toyota Corolla, while a 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class struck the rear of the Equinox.
Two female passengers in the Equinox, ages 23 and 33, both from East St. Louis, sustained minor injuries. Northeast EMS transported them to DePaul Hospital in St. Louis for treatment. The drivers of all vehicles were uninjured.
All four vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.
Our thoughts are with the injured women, and we hope for their full and speedy recovery. The investigation remains ongoing.
Multi-Vehicle Accidents on I-70 in St. Louis
Heavy traffic along I-70 in St. Louis often leads to chain-reaction crashes, especially during peak travel times. When traffic slows suddenly, a driver’s failure to stop in time can trigger a series of rear-end collisions, as seen in this four-vehicle crash east of Bermuda Road.
Multi-vehicle accidents can cause serious injuries, even when vehicles are traveling at moderate speeds. Passengers often face whiplash, back injuries, or concussions that require medical care. Beyond physical harm, victims may experience financial stress from hospital bills, missed work, and the need for ongoing treatment.
Under Missouri law, injured parties may seek compensation when another driver’s negligence caused the collision. Recoverable damages may include medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and property damage. Because liability in chain-reaction crashes can be complex, insurance companies often dispute fault, making legal support crucial for victims.
An experienced attorney can help by analyzing crash reports, gathering witness statements, and negotiating with insurers to secure fair compensation. Legal guidance ensures victims have the resources they need to recover fully.
