
Thomas Co., KS – I-70 Scene of Injury Crash near US 83


Thomas County, KS (July 26, 2025) – A late-night crash near the US-83 exit off Interstate 70 in Thomas County left four people injured, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. The vehicle accident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on July 23.
Authorities say a 2000 Dodge Durango, driven by 17-year-old Quinton M. Reeh of Oakley, lost control while exiting I-70 eastbound. The SUV hydroplaned, veered off the ramp, struck a highway sign, and then collided with a tree just south of the exit.
All four occupants sustained injuries in the crash. The driver and three passengers—34-year-old Michael Kreuzer and 19-year-old Emery S. Wright, both from Oakley, along with 41-year-old Heather D. Reeh of Colby—were transported to Logan County Hospital for medical treatment.
Emergency personnel responded quickly to assist at the scene, and an investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
